Before booking a place on one of our training courses, candidates MUST ensure that they have valid forms of ID and are over the age of 18 at the date of course commencement.
Candidates MUST be able to produce the following identification:

  • Two items from 'Group A'
OR
  • One item from 'Group A' AND two items from 'Group B'


ONE ITEM MUST SHOW DATE OF BIRTH
ONE ITEM MUST SHOW CURRENT ADDRESS


GROUP A:
  • Signed valid passport (any nationality)
  • Signed UK photo driving license
  • Original UK Birth Certificate (issued within 12 months of birth, NOT a photocopy)
  • UK Biometric Residence Permit

GROUP B:
  • UK Adoption Certificate
  • Valid UK Firearms License with photo
  • UK Birth Certificate (issued more than 12 months after date of birth, NOT a photocopy)
  • Marriage Certificate of Civil Partnership Certificate (with translation if not English)
  • P45 Statement of income for tax purposes on leaving a job (issued within the last 12 months)
  • P60 Annual Statement of income for tax purposes (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Bank or Building Society Statement issued to current address, less than 3 months old (You can use more than one statement as long as each is issued by a different service provider)
  • Mortgage Statement (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Pension, Endowment or ISA Statement (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Gas, Electric, Telephone, Water, Satellite, Cable, or Utility bill issued to current address, within the last 3 months (You can only use a maximum of one utility bill)
  • British Work Permit or Visa (issued within the last 12 months)
  • A Credit Card Statement issued to current address, within the last 3 months (You can use more than one statement as long as each is issued by a different service provider)
  • Child Benefit Book
  • Letter from H.M. Revenue & Customs, Department of Work & Pensions, Employment Service, or Local Authority issued within the last 3 months (You can use more than one statement if each is issued by a different Government Department or different Local Authorities)
  • Valid EU photo ID card
  • Signed UK paper Driving License
  • Non-UK Birth Certificate (with translation if not English, NOT a photocopy)
  • Council Tax Statement (issued within the last 12 months)
Candidates MUST be able to produce the following identification:

  • Three items from 'Group B'

GROUP A:
  • Signed valid passport (any nationality)
  • Signed UK paper driving license
  • Signed UK photo card driving license
  • Valid EU photo identity card
  • Valid UK Firearms License with photograph
  • Personal License card with photograph
  • Security License issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA)
  • ID/Warrant Card issued by HM Forces or Police (must be current and valid)
  • Proof of Age Standards Scheme (PASS) Card (MUST have PASS hologram on card)

GROUP B:
  • Credit Card, Debit Card or Switch Card produced by a Bank, Building Society or Credit Card Company which contains the candidate's signature provided this is accompanied by a recent statement issued within the last 3 months (multiple bills are accepted as long as each are from different services)
  • An original or certified copy of UK Birth Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate (only if in current name)
  • P45 or P60 (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Mortgage Statement (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Financial Statement, e.g. Pension (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Gas, Electric, Telephone, Water, Satellite, Cable, Mobile Phone, or Utility bill issued to current address (issued within the last 3 months, multiple bills are accepted as long as each are from different services)
  • Certificate of British Nationality
  • British Work Permit or Visa (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Addressed Payslip (issued within the last 3 months)
  • Child Benefit Book (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Court Summons (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Letter from H.M. Revenue & Customs, DWP, Employment Service, or Local Authority (issued within the last 3 months, multiple letters are accepted as long as each are from different Government Departments or Local Authorities)
  • Nation Union of Students Card (Full-Time students only)
  • TV License with candidate's name and current address (issued within the last 12 months)
  • Bank or Building Society Statement (issued to current address and within the last 3 months)

Skills Development Scotland - ITA Courses

Skills Development Scotland (SDS) Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) are for people who are 16 or over, living in Scotland and either in low paid work or actively seeking work. You must have an income of £22,000 a year or less, or be on certain benefits to be eligible to get up to £200 towards the costs of learning or training. You can apply for an ITA if you are not undertaking any secondary, further or higher education, SDS funded training or participating on the Community Jobs Scotland programme. ITAs are available if you are interested in learning something new or developing an existing skill to support you in work. There is a wide range of courses to choose from and you can study with any ITA approved learning provider, including learning centres, local colleges, universities and private training providers.
